Issue/Introduction

When upgrading UIM where a High Availability (HA) hub is configured do we need to run the installer in the HA hub?

Resolution

No. Once the Primary hub is upgraded you can deploy the upgraded Hub, robot and probes to the HA hub

Additional Information

Because of database schema changes implemented in UIM 9.02 and later versions, failovers to the HA backup hub need to be prevented until all of the probes on the HA backup hub have been upgraded. 

Allowing an earlier version of any of the UIM probes that write to any of the database tables (like the data_engine and qos_processor) may cause corruption in these tables  

For this reason, it is advisable to deactivate the HA probe until the UIM Primary hub and OC installs are completed and all of the core probes on the HA backup hub have been upgraded.
