Issue/Introduction

In Service Desk, the option "CA EEM-Use CA Embedded Entitlements Manager" does not show up as an option under Web Authentication -> Validation Type for any Access Type.

Environment

Service Desk Manager 12.x, 14.x and 17.x

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

Under the Options Manager -> Security verify that the "use_eiam_authentication" option has been installed.

Once installed, recycle the Service Desk service and the "CA EEM-Use CA Embedded Entitlements Manager" option should show up as an option under Validation Type.

Additional Information

If the "CA EEM-Use CA Embedded Entitlements Manager" option still does not show up as an option, check the NX_ROOT\NX.ENV file.

There should be a value for @NX_USE_EIAM_AUTHENTICATION

If this is set to "No", change it to "Yes" in this file as well as in the NX.env_nt.tpl file to prevent it from being overwritten when running pdm_configure.

Then recycle the Service Desk Manager service for the changes to take effect.
