Issue/Introduction

When configured thresholds are breached by any of the database monitoring probes (db2, oracle, sqlserver, sybase) the alarm appears in the Status tab of the probe's Configure GUI, but is never passed on to the nas.

Environment

All versions of the database monitoring probes through the current GA release: db2 (4.10), oracle (5.10), sqlserver (5.10), sybase (4.31)

Cause

Generate status only option on the Setup tab of the probes' Configure GUIs is selected.  This option instructs the probe to only generate status and not to issue an alarm when a threshold is breached.

Resolution

Deselect the "Generate status only" option on the General sub-tab of the Setup tab in the database probes' Configure GUI:
